The River Mouse is a tiny, tucked-away and enchanting new children’s lifestyle store which opened just before Christmas 2025. This storybook-like space is the brainchild of local mother of two Lucy Wright, a lifelong lover of all things small, magical and beautifully made.
The shop is a joyful celebration of UK-designed childrenswear, toys and gifts, alongside a shoe-fitting service (up to size 10).
But look up to find the magic! Above the shop lives The River Mouse himself, who can be found aboard his miniature narrowboat, gently chugging along a floating river – a whimsical invitation for little (and big) people to step inside, look up and slow down.
